Justice Demanded II

After the Assyrian army leaves, Hezekiah gets very sick. He is sure he will die. Isaiah comes and tells him to get ready. This sickness will take his life. Hezekiah turns his face to the wall. Yahweh sends Isaiah back with new words. Hezekiah will live! Not just a few days. Fifteen more years! Servants press a warm cake of figs against his sore. Slowly, color comes back to his face. His eyes open wider. The king who was dying begins to get better.

Hezekiah asks for a sign that Yahweh will truly heal him. Isaiah says Yahweh will move a shadow backward on the steps. He calls out to Yahweh. Right then, the shadow slides the wrong way. It goes back instead of forward. Hezekiah and his servants stare. No one can speak.
