Genesis 6

¹ People spread across the earth. Babies cried in every corner. Many were girls who grew into women.

³ Yahweh said, "My Spirit will not fight with humans forever. They are just flesh and blood. I give them 120 years."

⁴ Giants walked the earth in those days. The Nephilim. When the sons of God took human women as wives, the women had babies. Those children grew into fighters everyone knew. Heroes from long ago.

⁵ Yahweh looked at the earth. Every single thought in every human heart was bad. Only bad. All day, every day.

⁷ Yahweh said, "I will sweep every human off the ground. People, animals, bugs that crawl, birds that fly. All of them. I wish I had never made them."
